Tale of the heike: Minamoto clan

Location: boswell 39

The Tale of the Heike is a foundational epic poem in Japanese literature, often compared to the Iliad in the Western literary canon. But this account of the Genpei War is no myth; this historical struggle between two rival families helped define the political and cultural future of Japan. In this joint crisis committee, delegates will represent members of the Taira and Minamoto clans as they vie for the throne in one of the greatest stories ever recorded in prose.
